Frequency converter is the key equipment of motor energy saving and speed regulation. Recently, the tijnb8000 series green frequency converter, which drives the upgrading of this key equipment, has passed the inspection of the national electrical control product inspection center, and its technical performance and parameter indexes have reached the international advanced level. It is reported that the series of green frequency converters were successfully developed by the scientific research team of Shanchuan Electric Technology Co., Ltd. after more than 100 times of research in 5 years.

According to the introduction, the current total distortion rate at the input side of the traditional inverter popular in the domestic market is more than 120%, and the power factor is less than 0.6 (as shown in Figure 1). The current distortion rate is very serious to the grid pollution, because the power factor is too low, it also seriously affects the operation efficiency and the operation safety of the grid.
The green frequency converter developed by Guangzhou Shanchuan Electric Technology Co., Ltd. has zero total current distortion rate at the input side of the frequency converter and a power factor of 1 (as shown in Figure 2), which completely solves the problem of harmonic pollution and low power factor of the traditional frequency converter to the power grid, and improves the power quality, power grid operation efficiency and safety of the power system. Han Yongqing, member of IEC standards committee, said that the green frequency converter also has four quadrant operation function, returning braking energy to the power grid, with better energy-saving effect; no braking unit and braking resistance are required in the braking state, making the system cost more saving. He said that the output torque of the green frequency converter will be greatly increased when the power of the same motor remains unchanged. It can completely replace the traditional frequency converter in all places of mechanical transmission and fan pump. According to the power factor charge adjustment coefficient of the power supply company, the use of the green frequency converter can save about 15% of the average electricity cost, and the electricity cost saved by the user in one year is equivalent to the price of recycling four frequency converters.
Some insiders said that at present, the international iec61800-9-1:2017 and iec61800-9-2:2017 have been promulgated and implemented, which have strict limits on the input harmonic limit and energy efficiency limit of the frequency converter. The Ministry of industry and information technology of the people's Republic of China has listed this standard in the green color energy conservation project, and the Energy Bureau of the national development and Reform Commission will soon issue the energy efficiency limit value and energy efficiency grade of frequency conversion and speed regulation equipment. In this context, the technical innovation of the green inverter has made a demonstration for the industry to implement new standards and regulations.
